No you can still use your old mojang account to log in but they get cheeky and force you to use a dirty microsoft account when you register

Nope you can't. The migration will start this year. If you do not use a Microsoft account, you will no longer be able to play Minecraft at some point. And that's just as well. 2FA for account security and the whole ALT account junk is finally prevented.
No, you will be able to migrate your old Mojang account to a Microsoft account as soon as Microsoft starts doing it. Microsoft accounts are free.
Instead of your previous login, you use a Microsoft login. Otherwise nothing will change at all. Where is your problem exactly?
Because I'm drawn into the microsoft ecosystem and I'm a Mac user, both ecosystems are incompatible with each other like nothing else
