Minecraft and total confusion?

Some time ago we bought Minecraft for Windows 10 for our daughter through Windows. Now our son wanted to play too, so after doing some research we bought the game again. Same PC, different account. But now I only see my daughter's variant. And when I go to "Manage" it shows that it is an X-Box version. I have no idea and I'm on the verge of despair… What do I have to do now? Both kids should play on the same PC because it has the best graphics card…

You have to know that there are two editions of Minecraft…

Bedrock and Java. Most prefer the Java edition. Your daughter seems to have the Bedrock. The Java version can be installed from the official minecraft.net website.

Aha, we consciously decided against Java and opted for the PC / Windows version. Now I don't know how to manage the versions we have.

Normally you should be able to see and start the version under every user in the shop. Under Win10 you actually have XBox as a gaming platform, since it belongs to MS… The administration under the XBox account should be correct.

In principle, you only have to log into Win with the other user account and you can then also play the version under that account… If the game was not purchased under a user account, you can't play it in the account…

They are actually two separate programs, so that shouldn't be a big problem
