Ryzen 5 3600 vs Ryzen 7 2700x gaming / streaming?

Helo,

I plan to buy a PC to play and stream on it. At the beginning I would stream games like Minecraft, but more can happen.

Now I don't know if I should buy the 2700x or the 3600. Both would be paired with 16GB 3200MHz Ram, a 2070 Super and the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite.

What is more worthwhile for streaming and gaming?

I don't think an AMD processor would be that good. Since this is not so suitable for an Nvidia graphics card. However, if you insist on the graphics card I recommend a Ryzen 7 2700x I think (as always only my own opinion)
(Not so good for the RTX series, i.e. The CPU)

Gl

Clearly the Ryzen 5 3600 (the 3600x would be better)

Take a look at the benchmarks alone:

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/...3958vs4040

Un

How are the AMDs not suitable for the GPU? And there's no comparison model from AMD

Gl

Why should the Ryzen 7 be better? It has a much worse clock rate in single core mode. (In the dual he has a little bit less which is imperceptible.)

Un

The 3600 is said to lose 43% of the in-game FPS when streaming. I know the benchmarks, but they are not given with a stream alongside

Gl

That's not quite true an AMD CPU gets along well with an Nvidia GPU

As silly as that may sound now. Unfortunately, I don't really know myself. But I looked at a lot of reviews where it was often said that the Amd Cpus are not so good for the RTX series because of ray tracing etc

Un

I'm not interested in ray tracing, so it should go there, ig

Gl

So I personally stream with the Ryzen 5 3600x and that works perfectly, I guess the few FPS are lost due to the dual-core performance, but in my experience it is hardly noticeable. LG

Un

What are you streaming and on which resi?

Yo

This is an absolute humbug with the incompatibility of Nvidia and AMD. I use the Ryzen 72700x with an RTX 2070 super and find this combination highly recommended.

Well I think threads are important for streaming. So please correct me if I'm wrong, but always thought hehe

Gl

I stream most Warzone permanently at 144hz (I also have a 2070)

Ad

I never spoke of an incompatibility

Gl

This is by no means wrong, but due to the single core performance I would definitely recommend the Ryzen 5 3600x, of course you have very little loss when streaming

Yo

I advise you directly to the Ryzen 7 2700x which is the better choice for streaming simply because of the 8 cores and 16 threads, in gaming applications the Ryzen 7 2700x is just 10-15% slower than the Ryzen 5 3600.

Conclusion: if you want to stream, the Ryzen 7 2700x is the better choice for you

Gl

Once again briefly, I would recommend the Ryzen 5 3600x, because it has more power than the Ryzen 5 3600, it would be more suitable for streaming, I looked at your PC configuration, looks pretty good so far, of course it is not P / L computer, but you probably know that too.

Un

I know that, because of course there's also some look involved

Yo

"Since this is not so suitable for an Nvidia graphics card" This rumor of the not so suitable is from the days of the AMD FX processors and is totally out of date today. In addition, Intel's alternative in the price range would be an i5 9400f, a 6 core without hyperthreading, which performs poorly in applications and requires a more expensive MB

My words

Al

Both CPUs are real power providers. As an example, an Intel Core CPU is very difficult to get close to (except for the i9-9900k).

Un

And which one is better for gaming and streaming at the same time?

Al

The Ryzen 5 3600 is better for gaming and streaming. There's hardly any other processor that is better. The Ryzen 9 series and the i9 series could just have a little more power.

Un

I think the 3700x / 3800x too
