So my little brother and I have Minecraft I have the Java and he the Pocket Edition can we play together somehow?

This is not possible, the Java version can't play with anybody else, except the Java version.

Therefore the Windows 10 version is required.

No, but if you have Java, you can get Windows 10 Edition for free.

Then he can on the cell phone and you on the PC.
