Play Minecraft with a friend online (hear each other)?

If you do not quite understand the title, I'll explain it to you. If I want to play Minecraft online with a friend, how do I do it that we can talk. I do not want to do it with the chat. It's just stupid… Do you think it's Skype or is there a better alternative?

Skype no longer uses anyone. Conceivable alternatives would be Teamspeak (you may like to use my server on realhunters.de) or Discord. For talking, I think Teamspeak more pleasant, probably to write Discord. Oh, everything is free

Yes Skype was made for that, but Skype is dead thanks to Microsoft. I'd recommend you Discord, which combines the best of Skype and teamSpeak.

By Discord there's simply no reason to use TS or Skype.
