Save Blender animation as video file?

I have been working on Minecraft animations with Blender for the past month. I made good progress and today when I thought I was done, I noticed that I still don't know how to create this in a video file.

Of course I use the latest version of Blender and have used Minecraft_Character_Rig.

Can someone help me?

Go to the printer icon on the right, under Output set the folder where you want to save your video. Then change the "File Format" from PNG to FFmpeg video ", set the container to" MPEG-4 ", if this is not already the case, video codec to H.264 and the" Output Quality "to high.

Finally, on the top left on "Render" and then on "Render Animation".

Thanks OMG, is it normal that you have 1280 frames?

Fa

It depends on how long your animation is. The end frame for Blender is set to 250 as standard. If you have a template e.g. Used by Minecraft, it can be a lot longer

I already had animations that went 3000 frames or longer.

But are you sure you are not confusing the number of frames with the resolution? Say 1280x720p?

Cr

Yes, this is normal and sometimes. In this case, I would use a different method to save your animation. Just watch this video.

Don't worry it's not important that this is in 2.79.

Because if you immediately render as a video file, you will not have the option to cancel the rendering process without losing everything that has been rendered.

Or

No, that means frame start 0 and frame end 1280.

Ah OK thanks

Fa

Okay, so if you have animated a lot and for a long time or if it is a template, it is absolutely normal.

Or

Ok thanks, it somehow took me all night until it was done.

Do you actually have a gaming graphics card? If so, you can render your animation (s) with your graphics card instead of the processor (standard), which is also much faster. As a tip for the future.

Ok thanks I will probably have to buy one
