I got a Medion PC for Christmas 3 years ago. This has 1000 GB of memory of which only 300 are occupied. Nevertheless, with games like GTA V, Warzone etc. I always had game crashes after sometimes 5 minutes. MInecraft runs great but I'm still told that I only have 20 to 30 FPS. Is my pc that bad or is it my settings. Here is info about my PC:
Device name DESKTOP-V9BHAHI
Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.9 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Maybe someone has a clue or the same PC and can give me tips. What I can change or whether the PC is not powerful enough.
The memory has absolutely nothing to do with the FPS, especially with Minecraft.
What graphics card do you have? Sounds like a driver problem.
Since you have not listed a graphics card, you probably have an Intel IGPU, these things are junk.
They might be enough to start Windows and write letters, but they are effectively unsuitable for playing games.
The IGPU from AMD would have a multiple of the power. A change is not worthwhile because you will probably need an extra graphics card.
You didn't name a graphics card, or at least none. So you are using an integrated graphics chip, probably the Intel HD Graphics, which are not particularly good. Usually enough but simply not enough for gaming.
Somehow I miss a GPU, i.e. A graphics card. Or don't you have one? Then he would walk across the igpu, which would explain a lot.
The gta v etc hardly works at all and minecraft with around 25 fps is then obviously due to weak hardware.
In addition, I find 12GB RAM a very strange constellation.
Ne sounds more like igpu 16 GB ram → 4 igpu +12 for the cpu
, iGPUs usually do not have a dedicated memory, but rather share the RAM dynamically with the CPU.
Hm yes, maybe. But I have also assigned 4 GB to my igpu…
12 GB ram is completely normal with Igpu because 4 is fixed for the graphics unit and 12 is fixed for the cpu unit
Should then not be in his listing 16GB (of which 12GB usable)
So far, my PCs have always shown me the full installed RAM, only then it was just in brackets how much of it was available.
Hm no not necessarily I check again exactly with me
Thanks, for the answer my graphics card is the Intel (R) UHD Graphics 630, so the one that was built in when I bought it.
Ok, thanks for the answer did indeed have an Intel graphics card.
Well, then it looks bad for you, because graphics cards are generally very expensive and not worth it. I recently found my 200 Euro GraKa on Amazon for 500 …
This is not a graphics card, but the graphics built into your processor. See what I wrote above.
