I decided to download and play Valorant a few days ago. Meanwhile, a new Windows update came in.
The first 20 minutes always go great, then I play at constant FPS, but then they break in and up again immediately - with a delay of about 3 seconds. Have already limited FPS to 50, all graphic settings to low, etc. The hard drive was also cleaned, but nothing changes. In fact, I now even have FPS drops in Minecraft, whereas Fortnite ran without any problems a year ago.
I play on a laptop with a 200 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD, have an NVIDIA GeForce MX 150, 15.85 GB RAM, with the latest driver update. In addition, I play on a DELL monitor connected with an HDMI cable. I also route my audio in and output via a USB BOX from PreSonus, for better speech quality, etc. Valorant and Mc run on the half full SSD.
Does anyone have any idea where these drops come from?
It can of course be because you have to turn the settings down a bit, see if that makes a difference.
Question on the edge; do you have programs like MSI Dragoncenter or similar, which you can use to monitor the load on your computer?
