Use Minecraft more than 16 characters with getTeams?

I tried to write a Java plugin that has the function of a prefix system. I'm not that big with Java so I would like to ask you how I can use more than 16 characters for the prefix. My friend told me something about a library or something. Can someone help me there?

You can easily create the name of the team with under 16 characters, but design the display name however you want
