Thank you in advance for reading through:-) My problem is the following:
I'm currently playing Hunt: Showdown on the following hardware:
- AMD FX-6300
- ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX3
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
- 1TB SSD
- 16 GB of RAM
- Windows 10 Pro Education 64bit
Until about a few months ago, all of this could be played on relatively high settings at about 60 FPS. But now I experience regular drops down to 13-18 FPS. This repeats itself at constant intervals of 1-2 minutes and then breaks in for 5-10 seconds. Then everything recovers very quickly, only to collapse again after 1-2 minutes. In the meantime, this also happens to me at the lowest possible settings, all graphics settings are at a minimum and graphics drivers were newly installed by me. Nothing. In the meantime, I'm already experiencing this with Minecraft.
I'm not the hardware-savvy type now, don't know my way around very well and hope for one or the other idea from you.
I know that it is not the best hardware, but so far everything worked reasonably well?
You'd have to get MSI Afterburner + RTSS and tell us the temperatures and the utilization of your parts in the time when the performance.
I always turn off V-Sync first, then it no longer jerks
Ok, thanks, I'll install it right away!
I've already tried it, as I said, I've already exhibited everything that could somehow shake the performance.
I have now installed the Afterburner, I can also see the live monitoring data. But how can I extract the data to post here?
Can't you directly. You have to either memorize them, record them (screenshots / video)
But enough if you have the normal workload and that during the laags.
I think I found the problem. Seems to be the CPU temperature. I just can't post my screenshots here
What's the temperature like?
The temperature is then 77 degrees…
It's alright.
Oh really? Uhm, apart from that, I have spikes in the voltage limit and in the utilization limit at certain moments, the GPU also buckles slightly, but only feels slightly. I would like to post the screenshots here, but this function is not available here?
You don't feel good. Must be measurable.
Most likely found the problem. I installed a friend's graphics card and the problem was resolved. No more drops and stable FPS around 60. Thank you very much for the help anyway, the problem search helped a lot to my basic technical understanding and I learned a lot!
