This post is about Minecraft Server
first I want to ask what IPv4 you need from the PC or the router (in my opinion, the PC)
Problem is now that I have no IPv4 address even with https://www.wieistmeineip.de/
comes with me only "not available"
but since I need an IPv4 address so that others can join my server this is a problem for me
can I somehow adjust this, e.g. With the router or something?
That depends on your provider. If he is new to the contract, you probably only have one IPv6. Unitymedia e.g. Since (believe) 2 years, only IPv4 is given to business customers, because they have become scarce. If you have one, you can set it in the router, but normally it is preset.
I own an IPv6 address and through DS-lite also an IPv4 address. Your linked website also outputs both IPs.
If it's the same with you, you also have DS-lite. Your router can only be reached via the IPv6 address from the Internet. If you absolutely need an accessible IPv4 address, you can use the example http://www.feste-ip.net make your IPv6 reachable as an IPv4 address.
Principle dyndns. But Minecraft servers need a true IPv4.
If you do not get IPv4 yourself, you can only host over IPv6 and then only join clients that also have IPv6 …
Otherwise, YOU can't host, there's only rent or let someone host with IPv4 …
Hetzer gives the small VM for less than 3 euro per month…
Exactly, this goes with fest-ip.net. The IPv6 address can then be reached by an IPv4 address. Can also access my NAS from the Internet through a VPN.
So it's "more" than just dyndns.
Yes, it is a cloud server. With vServers you get more power for your money.
If you're looking for dynamic charging, hourly billing, quick startup and cloning of VMs, and all the other benefits of a cloud server, then do not do it.
Hetzner has nvme SSDs and for gameserver synonymous enough ne hdd but you need very important computing power!
Give it a try - tomorrow…
