Minecraft server (port)?

I have had an Aternos server for a long time until I got the idea (out of fun / interest / hobby) to buy my own small server, but unfortunately I don't want to set up port forwarding because I prefer to keep my Internet secure and private. It sounds stupid but does someone know a solution to run a server without port forwarding or the like. And while we're at it, someone knows a mini server (with Windows) which can also be used for other purposes than Mc. The components should be about 6GB RAM and a reasonably good processor (shouldn't be a Xeon Gold but also not an old Intel Atom processor). Sorry for the stupid question and thanks in advance.

Then rent one in the data center. There's no other way.

You also can't share your car with friends if the garage door is closed.

What are your concerns about port forwarding?

I've been running it for 5 years…

If you don't want to do something like that, you have no choice but to buy a server for dearly money from any provider.

Windows is the completely wrong operating system for that. Windows already occupies 2 of your 6 gigabytes. With Linux you have a good 200mb RAM load without Gui.

I currently have a few gigs free on my home server, if you don't need a lot / long I can "sponsor" the server for you for a few months

Thank you, but I solved it in such a way that I installed a forge server on my pc and connected it to my friends via hamachi (even if this is an old method, it works). In any case, I'm now looking for something like Micro pc or the like because I don't I really know whether hamachi is running on the raspberry pi because if the server is running on it I have more RAM and the server is online 24/7. And my concerns are even if that sounds pretty silly but you could access your internet with a port scanner ( but the chance that some guy sits in front of your door with a port scanner to break into your internet is pretty low but possible) I hope you understand.

Me

You can't "penetrate your internet" through a port opening

with a port scanner one could find out that you have opened a port… And then? You can do NOTHING with the port except to communicate with the Minecraft server behind it… And that is your goal.

Hamachi is just stupid because your friend needs this program too.

And nobody has to sit in front of the door - it wouldn't make any difference

Me

What I have to say about the Pi is that the Pi will most likely not keep up with the CPU power…

What kind of pi do you have?

Me

Nice comparison.

Thanks, my father explained it to me differently, anyway what is your opinion on a server on a raspberry pi so I think it's "special" because I'm such a control freak who likes to control server properties etc and that with a pi is pretty stupid there you always have to connect to the pi via pc

Me

For port forwarding

What's the problem if the server is on the Pi? You can access everything in exactly the same way, you just have to connect to the Pi SSH beforehand, but that's completely normal…

If you buy a server it's the same…

And that is the case with every computer that you put in the corner as a "miniPC"…

Me

Especially since you don't release ports with port forwarding but only forward them to a corresponding device. From the outside you can only see the Minecraft server on your computer - and only that and nothing more.

Ta

Well, I find the ssh file so annoying that's why I thought about buying a mini pc on which I can do it in the same way as on my computer

Me

What kind of file?

you just go to the server (under Windows) with a tool like putty… It's a matter of 10 seconds

If you want to do that with the mini pc, how do you want to access it? Connect a monitor? Should Windows run on it?

Spoiler: that's a bad idea
