I play on a server where the renderdistance is always 3, but this is often very annoying because I can't look far

i remember there being a client side mod for that but i dont remember the name. It only shows the chunks u loaded/explored, but that will add on quickly.
Bobby mod. Allows you to see chunks, but only works with chunks that you've explored before. Make sure you keep your GPU safe tho.
