Minecraft server ranks sell ~ commercial?

I know that there are quite a few posts on this topic, but they are already 2 years or more old.

I have a Minecraft server and would like to offer a VIP rank for 5 euro a month, which gives the in-game player some advantages.

What do I have to consider?
Do I need a business?
What is the maximum amount?
What punishments can I expect?

I hope I get a clear answer and no yes / no discussion in the comments. Please only answer if you are 100% sure.

5 euro a month? If it's not a pretty big one, no one will. Relatively large offer ranks for 5/10/20/40/50/100 lifetime

Nothing, because the eula exists, but is not implemented by microsoft, and never has been. 2. Nope. 3. It doesn't matter, it's your thing. 4. Only the offline take of your mc server, but not one of the large of these servers has been noticed by microsoft so far, in my opinion is only a deterrent.

Which gives the in-game player some advantages.

This violates Minecraft's EULA.

However, it should be said that many servers are not interested and hardly anyone complies with the EULA anyway.

Nice statement that is just wrong.
Of course you need a business in Germany if you sell something like that.
The tax office certainly sees it differently.
Tax evasion will have different consequences than taking a server offline.
Even if you don't mention 5, all large servers are monitored by Microsoft and Mojang, there are reasons why Hypixel and Co. No longer sell in-game benefits since the EULA was implemented.

Some of the previous answers are correct, some are incorrect and wrong.

I have a server and ranks available for purchase. I'm self-employed and have a business, so your problems do not arise for me.

Basically you can sell what you want, except minecraft-specific things like gamemode, fly, blocks, so everything you can as a normal player.

You can sell anything that is cosmetic in nature, i.e. Plug-in extensions, such as buying pets, writing in color on signs, etc. But nobody will give you 5 euro a month, not even 5 euro once.

You don't need a business as long as you don't run an official online shop. No tax office is interested in getting a rank like this.

There's a problem with the payment method. If you are under 18 you can't use a payment service provider. Only vouchers whose number can be sent to you via msg would be considered here.

An automatic ranking would be possible with tebex / buycraft. The configuration is very complicated and in English. However, these also require an age of 18 years. Buycraft's conditions are very strict.

If I put everything together now, I would stay away from paid ranks, unless you already have a business and are over 18. Everything else is just extremely time-consuming and leads to nothing.

You do not make yourself punishable, neither with the Eula nor with the Treasury, provided that you comply with all obligations.

You can see how blinded and stupid you are… Not a single statement from you was correct. Go back to school.
