I want to buy a Windows root server for a Minecraft Bungeecord network from MCHost24, here are the servers I need: proxy, lobby, game mode 1 round 1, game mode 1 round 2, game mode 2 and game mode 3.
How much RAM do I need?
I was recommended 4 cores and 4 GB RAM, what should I buy?
Depends on how many slots you want and how many plug-ins you get. Of course, these also draw performance.
But why a Windows server? As far as I know they are usually more expensive than "normal" or Linux vServer.
What is the difference in Windows and Linux?
Plugins will be 20/30
Players will never be more than 10 at a time
I think 4GB is ok, but you can also upgrade the ram and cores at MCHost at any time (then of course it costs more) if it is not enough.
And how much should the individual servers get?
I would not recommend MCHost24 at all.
expensive and bad host systems.
If you can take a contract (from 18), Contabo is good and cheap
Well. Is a different operating system. I think Windows usually has a graphical user interface, Linux doesn't.
In general, I think Windows is more expensive.
A total of 4 GB should be sufficient for now. And I can join XGamer11208, MCHost24 is not the best choice. I myself host at Contabo, where I'm also very satisfied.
What is different at Contabo?
Well, from my own experience I can say that you can fully trust the servers in terms of performance and accessibility. At MCHost24 this is not the case with game servers.
