I've had my PC since 2018 at the beginning I had over 1000FPS in Minecraft with Labymod, Vanilla or BAC. After 2-3 times resetting the PC I suddenly only had 200FPS Max. 400. With the same settings, clients or something else. What can that be?
(PS. Even mostly use 32x32 texture packs)
Specs:
Nvidia quadro k620
Intel Core i5-3470 3.20 GHz
16GB DDR3 Ram (8 of which are assigned in Minecraft.)
Windows 10 Pro
Did you really install the drivers you need every time?
Yes
Turn on the task manager, put it in the foreground (via file) and look what's under management when you're gaming. Then you should be able to see when something is working at its maximum
Have you ever thought that it could be due to the age and performance of your graphics card?
Software continues to evolve, so do games. Getting updates will be more demanding on the hardware. And to be honest, your graphics card isn't the best either. The fps can drop there.
Otherwise, follow benwolf's suggestions. Maybe there's something there.
Found 1000 a bit exaggerated to be honest. I mean his graphics card doesn't speak for 1000 FPS.
I can't really imagine that either. I don't think even my 1660 super 🙈 can do that. But I can't say, don't play Minecraft.
Apart from that, 1000 fps are totally unnecessary, there's no monitor that can reproduce it.
I don't have 1000 fps either (RTX3070)
Okay, then my gtx 1660 really doesn't make it. Yours is a little bit better then 😂😂😂🤣. And the questioner shouldn't make it either.
I had 1000FPS when I sometimes even have over 500 but well.
I've been playing on the 1.8.9 for years. My brother has exactly the same setup and has around 800
Even if you had so much, it doesn't really do you any good. How much Hz does your monitor have?
But as I said above, the software is becoming more demanding and at some point the old hardware just can't keep up. The performance inevitably drops.
Then you should check the task manager to see if something is asking too much power.
But now suppose you have a 240hz monitor… Then 800 or 1000 fps will still not bring you anything, because you then still transport up to 760 fps to the other side, since the monitor can only display 240 fps.
It's the same with 60Hz, 75Hz or 144Hz monitors… So why so much?
