Minecraft always changes the setting after changing the version between 1.14.4 and 1.8.9?

Moin, I have the problem that I change between the versions mentioned always have different settings, but it only change the settings that did not exist in the 1.8.9 so z.b. This creative-fast inventory

this would not cause any problems if i pressed the keys which would then be automatically changed, which i would not use as an example because i could not explain it well:

I play 1.14.4 without problems change to the 1.8.9 and (that is not the problem addressed but the language then always changes to English…) and now ressetten ALL settings except graphics I have everything in turn. So now I have played 1.8.9 and now play 1.14.4 everything is as before but the settings I have in the 1.8.9 not have been set to keys I have already forgiven and thus again have to change something.

As you can see, this is pretty annoying how can I fix it? I could not find anything on Google thanks for your answers

I think I can just write you a program that you just double click each time to restore your settings.

(A batch program, can you google what that is?)

For this you have to briefly list which settings are all lost, and what values / buttons you want to have there.

Unfortunately, I do not know a way to automatically restore the settings or even lose them.

You can choose in the launcher if you want to use a different game directory in one version, so normal directory is in /appdata/roaming/.minecraft and with the setting you can just select another for that version so then eg in appdata then / appdata / roaming / .minecraft_1.8.9 or something like that can also save somewhere else

Will not the options still be taken from .minecraft / options.txt?

Br

No, it creates a separate options.txt in the directory you have selected

an

Even better:

Open your .minecraft folder
Start Minecraft with version 1.14
Open "options.txt" in your Minecraft folder and post the text in here as an answer
Close options.txt
Start Minecraft with version 1.8
Open "options.txt" in your Minecraft folder and post the text in here again as an answer

Then I'll make you two programs that you simply have to run depending on the version when you change to the respective version.

Ooh. Clever.

Di

Thanks for that, but I know what batch programs could do and therefore better access the first option which I have to try

I thank all those who helped me I have cargohose69s proposal with a program which syncs me 3 Minecraft folder syncsiert (pure sync)

I now have 3 mc folders which synchronize all but the options.txt file so I have now to make changes to all folders the normal mc folder while I still 2 for 1.14.4 and 1.8.9
