Minecraft field not growing?

Hello me and my cousin have a world in minecraft pe and my cousin has built a field but nothing grows on it so my cousin has planted wheat but it does not grow but in her other worlds it grows what can it be?

Have you placed water nearby? If so, it will take a while. But put n composter and n fleece down. If it still doesn't grow, use Bonemeal.
