Minecraft little fps? - 1

Moin, I got a new pc and always had 300-400 fps in minecraft. In the last few days I have at most 80-130 fps. Why is that? I've always played the same version and haven't changed any settings.

You can try to update your drivers and Java or see if any programs are running that simply eat up performance.

If you want a lot of FPS, the first step I would recommend is to limit the FPS to what your monitor can maximally display. That means: 60hz monitor = 60 FPS, 144Hz = 145 FPS, etc.

Otherwise you can of course add more Ram to Minecraft:

Open launcher → Installations → Select profile → More options → JVM arguments: Somewhere something should be with -Xmx. Just write something like -Xmx4G for 4GB Ram

Then you can set the graphics mode to fast and turn off the soft lighting. The same with dynamic lighting

In Details you can then deactivate Clouds, Rain & Snow and Sky and set block transparency to Fast
