Minecraft little fps?

I bought a new graphics card the AMD RX580 with 8gb and I have worse FPS than with my GTX660 how can that be?

Have already looked everywhere for a solution but found nothing.

Many think minecraft doesn't need performance. Minecraft is actually a game that needs a lot of power. If your fps are low put Times down the junks in the graphics settings. What can also be a problem is when there are extremely many animals near you. Eg In a farm or something. I once had a chicken farm with about 200 or more chickens because the fps can really go down in the basement. Make a few cold then it should get better

Yes, but how can it be that Minecraft runs better on my GTX660 than on a new graphics card, it is an Rx580 with 8 GB and the GTX660 only has 2 GB and has a much poorer performance and is old, but now I can play everything with high FPS except Minecraft which bothers me a lot
