I have installed an RX 580 8GB in my gaming computer and now need a good gaming monitor. I mainly play CSGO (200 FPS), Minecraft (120FPS), SEA of Thieves (60 FPS), Battlefield V (75FPS), Assassin's Creed Odyssey (50 FPS). The question now is whether a 144hz monitor in combination with an RX 580 is worthwhile for these games and whether I can get a smooth picture even with games with 50 FPS. Should I activate FreeSync if necessary?

A 144Hz monitor is not worthwhile in your case, since you have less than this repetition rate in almost all games.
A 144hz monitor only brings you something, if you also have 144 FPS, the heart rate says only how many FPS your monitor can show. If you only play at 50 FPS, a 144hz monitor won't do you any good. However in CSGO if you play at 200 FPS it would bring you something. It depends.
So I have a cheap, good Samsung 1080p monitor with 60hz and get along really well.
