Today I made my RAM from an 8GB stick to 2 8GB sticks. As far as I know, they are installed correctly because I see 16GB on the CPU-Z.
Now the problem is that I have real FPS drops in Minecraft. And no, I play enough other games but minecraft is currently stopped.
The main problem is I can't play at 20fps.
I always had 300+ fps before
Now the question is, have I installed something wrong on the ram or because it happened after
Do the RAM run in dual channel?
You can check this with cpuz, for example.
There are instructions that you can read through how to install this.
A BIOS update often helps with RAM problems
Dual channel is activated
There are only two reasons for me:
Either you have packed the RAM modules in a channel directly next to each other and therefore do not use a dual channel
or you took slower RAM, or overwritten the XMP profile with it or something like that.
It would be very useful to know which RAM bar you previously had and which one you bought!
Because you can only speculate…
Are the rams in the right slots? Sometimes it should also help to remove and reinstall the CPU.
