Why do I have so little FPS in Minecraft? - 1

When I'm in the Gomme lobby the FPS sometimes drop below 60. In normal rounds I have 200-400 but I wonder why. My brother has around 200 in the lobby with the much worse GTX 1050 and up to 700 in laps. I have two ideas:

The CPU is the problem
AMD Grakas are not as well optimized for Minecraft

My specs:

Rx 590 8GB

I7 2600

16 GB RAM

Look if there are anything strange in the settings. Something like 3D already pulls the FPS properly. But it shouldn't be the PC. Just experiment a little with the settings.

This is normal when there are a lot of players dropping the FPS.

And one more thing: so much FPS is of no use to you.

Yes exactly. For example, you could try to limit the FPS to 120, which usually makes drops less common.

Possibly shaders

What CPU does your brother have?

Minecraft is more CPU-heavy and less GPU-heavy.

But then when all the mods with shaders are added, you have a good view and everything, then that could be more work for the GPU.

I think it's because of the CPU because I read that Minecraft is very CPU intensive. It's not bad, just wanted to know

Well there's a neat difference, but that should be max. 100-150 FPS difference at 1080p.

But I also believe that AMD is less compatible than NVIDIA with Minecraft (I've read)
