I would like to know if 2gb vram is still sufficient for games like Fortnite, Minecraft, GTA V and COD Warzone or if I have to use 4gb Vram right away. Or even bring 4gb no more. I have 8GB of RAM.
8 GB of ram is not a lot, so you should probably add more.
It doesn't just matter, the rest of the PC would also be interesting. With 8GB RAM I don't expect too much. For the listed games, 4GB VRAM is theoretically sufficient. But forget complex shaders or something in Minecraft for example.
Puhhh. So at the moment 8GB is just enough for some games. But you can definitely play the games, yes.
I have a GeForce GTX 1050 TI from Nvidia in my notebook
It has 4GB GDDR5 RAM (Dedicated RAM) and 3.9 GB Vram
I don't play video games on a PC, but I like to do benchmarks with the graphics card and overclocking
The dedicated (the RAM of the GPU) RAM has never become full, which means 2GB VRAM are a good 4GB better because 2GB are full very quickly!
What graphics card (GPU) do you have?
Stay healthy
I think you should be able to play relatively smoothly with 2GB VRAM games like League of Legends, CSGO or Minecraft (without shaders!). 8GB of RAM is also sufficient for this.
Newer games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, already need a lot more video and RAM, because 8GB RAM and 4GB VRAM are "just enough".
So the question is: what exactly do you want to play? If you just want to play Minecraft, for example A GTX 1660 or 16 GB RAM a waste of money!
