I bought a finished PC at Mediamarkt 2-3 years ago. On the side it says the TC-780. I have:
- Windows 10 (Home 64-bit)
- 7th GEN Intel CoreTM i5 processor 7400 (Minecraft has a 4x in front of it)
- 128 GB SSD + 1TB
- 8GB DDR4
- GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
I threw away my original graphics card, the AMD RadeonTM R7-430 2GB. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with computer stuff, so I need your help now. No matter what game I play (especially Minecraft), I have FPS drops every 2-3 seconds. In addition, the game is not really smooth. With Osu it is still possible, but I rarely have FPS drops. I mostly play Minecraft with Labymod (Optifine is included), but also sometimes with Optifine. I'm not using any shaders or texture packs and clouds are off. That's why I'm so excited about it. Back then, when I freshly put in the new graphics card, everything ran very smoothly. After 3 days it started slowly and now it is very bad. Is my PC somehow too bad or what? Can someone please explain to me why that is so I just do not know any more. For example, while I also play Minecraft Discord and Chrome with 1-2 tabs (1 of which is Youtube). Discord overlay things are out too, so that's not it. I also always play everything in full screen mode. (Don't be surprised about the picture, I went out of full screen mode to take a screenshot)
Did you change the graphics card driver?
A 1050Ti is not a particularly good graphics card in 2020. I have the same graphics card in an old 2nd PC and I only have 20-30FPS in Minecraft
Did you also cleanly delete the AMD driver before switching?
I don't know exactly anymore but I downloaded the new driver
Hmm. I understand that only I wonder why it went so well for the first 3 days
Can I look it up somewhere? I doubt that I deleted it
You should have uninstalled the AMD driver cleanly, now you may have some kind of driver conflict that causes the drops.
Use DDU (in safe mode, possibly set a restore point beforehand.) And see if you can delete all drivers.
Then delete both AMD and Nvidia. Then after the restart download the current Nvidia from the homepage.
I just downloaded and installed the new one
1050ti is more than sufficient for minecraft. The remaining hardware is also sufficient for minecraft.
What is DDU? I'm really sorry that I don't know my way around
If you are not familiar with the subject, you should not write an answer, this is incorrect information that is only confusing
And deleted the old one?
Had a similar problem with my old laptop. Open the task manager while you play (right click on the taskbar → select task manager). Leave all programs like Discord and Chrome open, because according to your statements you have opened them all the time and then look at the different workloads.
If, for example, your working memory is almost or even fully loaded, you probably have to close Chrome and watch YouTube on your phone. If it still doesn't work, then maybe even your Discord has to believe in it and you have to use it on your phone too.
If the CPU is very busy, which should probably not be the case in Minecraft, but in other faster games like GTA, car racing games and shooters, then your CPU is too weak due to the low performance of the individual cores.
The GPU shouldn't matter much in Minecraft because it only demands good GPU performance in shaders.
But if I were you, I would upgrade my PC or even build or assemble a whole new one at Dubaro. If you want, I could put together a price-performance PC for a certain budget, which also meets your requirements. If I should do that, please let me know early enough.
So my RAM is always at 40-60%. I just have Minecraft open and my CPU keeps going up and down from 60 to 80. It would be really nice of you if you would do that because I really don't know what to do. I have no plans to get a new PC this year, but probably next year.
I just did that and unfortunately it didn't work. Nevertheless thanks for the help.
Why wrong information? I tried it myself. But of course explains why you didn't write an answer.
Can only tell you what came out of my test.
Because it's complete nonsense that you can only manage 20-30 fps in Minecraft with a 1050ti. If that's really the case with you, then your system is just junk.
If you do not believe me:
Over 400fps on average.
Okay, then I will send you a friend request so that we can write to each other in private chat and then I can send you the link to the pc.
Okay can be. With my system it is more of an old PC and not a test system. Accordingly, it was probably due to the processor as the PC usually had a CPU utilization of 100%. This was probably because something was wrong with the background programs or programs were installed / set incorrectly. But well my mistake.
Talk yourself out of it amateurishly
Is the truth. Ever thought that the tests are paid for by NVIDIA and the results are fake? And if you know your way around that well, you could certainly write an answer.
