Because of the pvp aspect. 1.7.10 / 1.8.9 er pvp were simply the best times. Have never played the newer versions (from 1.9), because the pvp system is garbage

I own both and play both more often.
I don't prefer or hate anyone because of that.

Java is the better version in my opinion, I've played both and on Java you have a lot more options because of the servers, which I would miss on Bedrock.
