I recently got the Minecraft Java Edition and wanted to start playing it.
When I start it there are no problems and everything runs smoothly in the start screen. But when I enter a world, whether single player or multiplayer, I have 0 fps.
I also have this problem with all other versions from 1.8 to 1.16
Can anybody help me further?
Either it is due to your graphics card or it is a problem with the software
MC is generally poorly and disadvantageously coded. You need a mediocre or good PC for 1.16 and so. The right settings are also very important in MC. You can install Optifine or the Badlion client and see if it is better. You may also have a texture pack that is too high-resolution.
Graphic card?
But even a laptop from 2008 does not achieve 0 FPS in 1.16. Must have another reason.
Nvidia Geforce 840M
I'll try Optifine, but I haven't installed another texture pack
He thinks with 0 fps I only mean that things are going badly. With a still picture you would have to learn the Badlion Client.
The Badlion Client already has Optifine in it. Have to go to their site
I don't think that would be super stupid to call it 0 fps.
Try to allocate more RAM to Minecraft.
And turn Vsync off if that's on.
And update your GraKa drivers if possible.
I have Vsync off and I have assigned minecraft 2 GB of which according to Minecraft only 60% are used.
Ok, as far as it goes. Then have a look at the drivers.
Yes I do
What else could be done to find the error:
Press Shift + F3, and then look at the bottom right of the pie chart to see which point is to blame for the lags
Start Minecraft with output log and look for suspicious error messages
But yes, look first of all because of the drivers. XD
And has the problem always been, or has only been for a certain time?
Minecraft has hardly any graphics usage but is rather CPU intensive
means to close everything on browsers and to close programs that you don't necessarily need and to see if it works
Well, I've only had it for 3 days
so always
When I press Shift + F3 the diagram shows: 99% tick
So Optifine and the Badlion Client didn't help either
Then I guess it's your old card. Do a driver update or find out the minimum requirements for the game on the Internet. MC is really a complicated thing xD. Today I still have to run Optifine from the console with commands to install it. I can't do without it.
Thanks to everyone who helped me.
So my solution is:
After updating Java and reinstalling Minecraft, I can now play Minecraft at a smooth 60 fps!
