Which AMD Ryzen CPU buy now?

I'm currently building a cheap PC system for my brother's birthday. The budget is not very big, so I want a CPU in price range of 100 euro. In question here are the Ryzen 5 1600, Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G. He mainly plays games like Minecraft, League of Legends and CS GO. The mainboard would be ASRock AB350M Pro4.

Me

Then the Ryzen 1600th But has no GPU part!

How big is the budget? The Ryzen 5 1600 is of course the strongest of the 3 CPUs, but he also anticipates a graphics card.

If the budget allows, I would definitely go to the Ryzen 5 2600.

Ca

400 euro. The graphics card (GTX 1050 ti) is already from the predecessor PC and will not be replaced.

Gu

So you need everything except a GPU for 400 euro?
There's quite a Ryzen 2600 in it: https://geizhals.de/...WL-1210066

Gu

Since then you can also retrofit a faster GPU like an RTX 2070 / RX 5700, the 400W power supply and the CPU are sufficient for that.

Ca

MSI B450M Pro-VDH Plus or ASRock AB350M Pro4?

Gu

The MSI board is much better. Especially since it is compatible with the 2600 without BIOS update.

Ca

Thank you very much.

Gu

No problem.
You can of course take a different case, but the Bitfenix Neos I have in my cheap Konfiguartionen, because it offers quite a lot for 36 euro, there are also in other colors. Comes with two fans (and thanks to Mesh proper airflow), has enough space for normal CPU cooler and graphics cards, no unnecessary holes where dust penetrates, after all, a USB 3 port in the front panel.
Alternatives (also available at Mindfactory anyway, because you will have to order) might be the Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 (35 euro), Zalman Z1 Neo (37 euro) etc.

Enclosures with a closed front should be treated with caution, because often the cooling suffers under the optics.

Ca

Cooler Master Masterbox Q300L I had targeted in the case

Gu

Not a good idea, very bad airflow - take a look at the test of GamersNexus.

Ha

There's quite a Ryzen 2600 in it:

Very good, but 10 euro I would still scrape together for a Pure Power 11 400 watts. The Yate Loon fan in System Power tends to clatter

Gu

Yes, you're right, you could do that, the PP1 is already superior and the 11 euro more worth it - if you want to invest the money.
Quiet the system is not so anyway (but not loud when the calculator is under the table), then you would have to take a case with better fans and a decent CPU cooler.

Eq

Take the cheapest CPU.

The graphics are important for playing. She does all the work.
